The Suna Una? books are part of a series of books I plan to publish. So far I have only published two of the books in the series. I teach my high school students how to use simple books to interact with and teach language to toddlers and young children. I hope that as they work with young children they can see themselves as teachers. So far, it's been working and I have several students that are planning on becoming teachers. At the very least, I hope that my high school students will use the books with their siblings and eventually their own children. I hope that the books will help parents and caregivers to use more Iñupiaq with their children when they are small.
The following two books are special because they include sound to teach a song. They are only available in the iBookStore and can only be used on iPhones and iPads. Singing is a wonderful way to learn language and I hope to publish more books that include songs so that parents have these resources for their small children.
