This was my whole family a few years ago. Two of my sisters and one of my brothers have had additional children since then. As you can imagine it was quite the feat to have all of us together like this so I don't know when we'll ever get another picture like it. I loved being a part of a big family as a child. We moved a lot and to me it felt that no matter where we moved I always took my best friends with me.

About Me...
Both my parents are from the midwestern U.S. but they moved to Puerto Rico where I was born. I am the oldest of their eight children and had an amazing childhood living in many different countries. I grew up speaking mostly English at home and Spanish everywhere else. I have friends all over the world and my bilingualism and biculturalism are a big part of my identity. Even though I look like a "Gringa" I'm very much a "Latina" at heart.
I have five children who are my greatest joy and have taught me the best lessons in this life. My children are all grown up but I enjoy their company more than ever! I love music and can play the piano, flute, recorder, guitar and ukulele. I love traveling to get to meet and know people from different parts of the world. I love learning and I love knowing at the end of the day that I've done something worthwhile. |
